Nestled in the landscape on the top of Kvitfjell (“White Mountain”) in Norway, this narrow cabin stretches 26 meters to frame the views of the surrounding mountaintops and the horizon beyond towards the south-west. Located in a residential area near Valencia, the project consists of making a house in 5 phases to ensure the evolution from a temporary house to a final home. This project is a small but important phased remodel of a 1952 Haver Home within the architecturally significant Marlen Grove neighborhood (a former citrus grove) for a young ASU Law Professor that commutes from his Bernal Box in the Bay Area to stay here when the University is in session. Ralph Haver, AIA was one of the most prominent architects practicing here during the postwar boom in Phoenix and similar to A. On the outskirts of Nevado de Toluca volcano in a small town called Valle de Bravo lies Mi Cielo, an eco-friendly hotel and retreat. Mi Cielo has three cabins, one main house, a vegetable garden and an outdoor kitchen. Secluded in the mountains, the project depends on candle light, solar energy, water harvesting and composting toilets. SV House is located in a gated community in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The terrain is completely flat and is surrounded by existing housing. From the street we can see a solid brick façade that creates privacy on the inside, however, the rear façade is completely transparent, introducing the exterior surroundings on the interior of the house. http://dlvr.it/RrVj1X

Samna is a restaurant of Middle Eastern cuisine in the author’s interpretation by famous Israel chef Meir Adoni. The venue is located in the historic part of Kyiv, next to Arsenalna square. The restaurant occupies the basement and the first floor of the building that used to be a mansion erected in 1797 and called “Ypsilantis House.” An important Turkish statesman lived here at the beginning of the XIX century when he escaped to Kyiv after the failure of the rebellion he had participated in. http://dlvr.it/RrS002

In 1929 when Valentim dos Santos Diniz left the village of Pomares, in the Portuguese province of Beira Alta, on his way to Brazil. He came only at the age of 16, driven by the ambition of a wider horizon. When he first glimpsed Brazil, still inside the ship, what he saw was a gigantic rock outcropping in Guanabara Bay. Located in the Condominium Terras de São José, in Itu, São Paulo, the 1100m2 residence received from the owners the affectionate name of "The most beautiful house". The wide sloping terrain protects a portion of native forest. In this way, the project appropriates these characteristics for the definition of the architectural party. Few lines define the reinforced concrete structure. It is this evident structure that makes the volumetry appear to float over the terrain. Barbershop OWN is a project with a different look at what a modern barbershop should be. We focused on removing all unnecessary details from the concept of a traditional barbershop and creating a clean, minimalistic interior, shifting the emphasis to the comfort of guests and people working in it. http://dlvr.it/RrLmw4

Palacio Pereira, a heritage building under the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, will be the headquarters for the operation of the commissions and services of the Constituent Convention, while the former National Congress will be the main headquarters where the body will function and the plenaries will be held. Palacio Pereira is currently in its final phase of habilitation after an emblematic 10-year recovery and restoration process, which represents a milestone in the field of management and protection of national heritage. The use for the commissions and services of the Constituent Convention will be temporary, so the original plans for this building are maintained, to house part of the teams and offices of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage. http://dlvr.it/RrJC0L

Context. Following the development of West Bussigny in the suburbs of Lausanne is planned for 3,000 inhabitants by 2030, the project is developing an alternative to densification and to the individual house by "grouped" type housing while avoiding a morphology of housing segmented only on the verticality. Paper Roof, the light-as-air design for a reception center for a new city district next to Jin Hai Lake in Bin Hai. The center makes a simple yet eloquent statement with a sleek glass box topped by a contemporary take on the sweeping roof of traditional Chinese architecture – instantly recognizable, yet uncompromisingly fresh. The Remote Lake Cabin is located on a sloped site on a lake in the Adirondack Mountains. For 5 generations, the client’s family has been a part of this Adirondack Lake. The cabin is elevated in the trees and touches lightly on the sloping ground below. The basic building system is a wood-clad post and beam. Natural light is paramount. Only materials in their rawest serviceable form, as locally sourced as is possible, are used in the construction. Pinghe Bibliotheater is the core of OPEN’s latest project—School as Village/Shanghai Qingpu Pinghe International School. A library, a theater, and a black box interlock together like a Chinese puzzle to form this characteristic building that some call ‘the blue whale’ while others see it as an ocean liner. The unique form of the building and the free-flowing spaces not only cultivate the students’ interests in reading and performing, but also encourage their imagination to roam freely in the ocean of knowledge. http://dlvr.it/RrB4Jj

The new golf course, Great Northern, is situated in the city of Kerteminde between the rolling countryside of the northeastern part of the Danish island, Funen. The project Great Northern covers a clubhouse and hotel apartments and is created based on the connection between the landscape and the design of the golf course. T3 Architects just designed the first Dojo in Saigon (Vietnam). The project started with a good mix of cultures: " Dojo " is the Japanese name of the building which means that the building will be built with a certain of Japanese traditional rules for the right practice of Judo. Approached by a friend who represents a Minimal-window producer from Portugal, called PANORAMAH. We, were given the task of developing a sort of case study home, in the Murud region amidst a coconut grove. For this house bordering an alleyway on a traditional Chicago lot, Kwong Von Glinow flips the traditional residential section, arraying bedrooms on the first floor and living spaces on the second. Works within and to the rear of a Grade II listed villa focussed on creating a new garden room which, together with the neighbouring painting studio, shelters under a large Eucalyptus tree. This is a house that takes position in its place. As fast growing start-up, AirHelp relocated its Headquarter into a former Carpenter Factory in the scene district of Berlin-Friedrichshain. The client requested a space where people could meet, feel comfortable and work. A flexible working space where the distance between people can be modulate in order to respond to the multitude of uses: working area, concentrating, meetings, coffee breaks, lunches and parties. The lines between work, life, and community are blurring, and the office should be designed to reflect these new realities. Folkets Hus (The People’s House) is the first building to be completed in the redevelopment of Fisksätra – a suburban residential area outside Stockholm. The building, culture, and youth center with great social responsibilities in the community of Fisksätra is meant to be provisional with a temporary building permit, and the outcome can be described as a contemporary version of a traditional tent structure. A similar example (and early reference) is the famous Copper Tents in Hagaparken in Solna, Sweden, built between 1787-1790, which also were meant to be provisional, but remains to this day and have grown to be a landmark of Stockholm. http://dlvr.it/Rqyp1G

Casa Cabanyal is a terraced family house located in one of the neighborhoods with the most personality in Valencia, El Cabanyal. This neighborhood has its own architecture that differentiates it from the rest of the city. The comprehensive renovation and interior design proposed in this project seek to respect and enhance its intrinsic character while providing spatiality and luminosity to the house. Therefore, one of the starting criteria was to conserve the existing materials and maintain the spirit of the traditional architecture of this neighborhood in the choice of new materials. The clear protagonists are the wooden entrance door, which is recovered, and the original brick that surrounds the space and that stands out thanks to the indirect lighting incorporated in the project. The new materials, the clay vaults and paving, the wooden carpentry and the colored tile, reminiscent of the neighborhood’s colorful facades, harmonize with the original materials. http://dlvr.it/RqxXzd

The building is located partly at the old Convent of Madre Deus of Monchique, and the old industrial warehouses. The whole building is a couple steps away from Alfandega, in Oporto historic centre, classified as UNESCO World Heritage since 1996. Sustainability and innovation were some of the main features of this project, pushing this project’s development to always take into account the principles of sustainable architecture. Therefore, a reutilization of existing materials such as wood, stone and metal and their readaptation to a new purpose, was a constant feature throughout the whole process. “ We recovered roof tiles from the old roofs, wooden flooring from the old warehouse, some pillars and metal beams of the old factory “Fabrica de Massarelos” and we reutilized the granit stone from walls which were demolished” http://dlvr.it/RqxXxK

Located in a densely populated, busy street close to the impressive town hall building in Walthamstow the existing terraced house dates back to the 1920s. With both neighbours having rear extensions (one being built concurrently to AR) the terrace features a hotchpotch of largely, banal rear extensions tacked on over the decades.  http://dlvr.it/RqtvY1

Yaroslav Galant (Galant I.D.lda studio) has finished work on the project for the office of RB Pharma, a company that specialises on finding individual solutions for distribution of hard-to -find medicines. The headquarters are situated in Lisbon in a two-storey former warehouse with a beautiful park across the road. Tibiritabara is the name of the pizza shop belonging to the local brewing group 7 Barrios. It is placed in a spot that was used as a restaurant before but that was completely transformed to host this new use. http://dlvr.it/RqsfvX

The project consists in the overhaul of an existing structure that has been subject of several modifications throughout the years. After some research on the property, we were able to trace back to the original documents of the house, designed by the renowned Mexican architect Augusto H. The Only Layout Huazhan campus of Gaoan Road No. 1 Primary School is located at the intersection of Longwu Road and East Huazhan Road in Xuhui District, Shanghai. With a compact site, this 40-class school was built under a high FAR of 1.4. On this long and narrow site, the only suitable location for the 200-meter track and field is on the west side, which also helps to block traffic noise from Longwu Road. According to building codes regarding setback, fire protection, sunshine and noise control, the main classroom building can only be arranged in two rows on the east side. The multi-function building is then located between the playground and the academic area, accommodating the multifunction hall, covered sports field, gymnasium and other activity spaces. http://dlvr.it/RqlxlM

The suspended house aims to respond to the desire of townspeople to reach nature and calm while still living in the city. The project consists of a light wooden structure erected above an existing garage to create a small townhouse. While the situation of a house with such a small plot (15x5,5m) without a garden is quite exceptional and unwanted in this part of the Parisian suburbs, the project uses this lack as an opportunity to propose a new typology. http://dlvr.it/Rql7sM

The newly completed electrical switchgear building is the first Net Zero Energy (NZE) targeted electrical substation building in the United States.  Tucked midblock on Eddy Street between Larkin and Hyde, the steel frame concrete structure is a modern addition to the existing historic 1962 substation building designed by PG&E to supply power to the northeastern part of the City.  http://dlvr.it/Rql7qm

The Integrated Refinery Petrochemical Complex is a center for pioneering petrochemical innovation, making it the first fully integrated petrochemical complex in Southeast Asia, and securing its leading position in the Thai petrochemical industry. Strömberg Park is a culturally and historically valuable industrial milieu located in Vaasa, Finland. The construction of the area began in the 1940's based on a town plan formulated by Alvar Aalto. The house is located in Canicosa de la Sierra, Burgos. The design is inspired by the local natural monument known as “Pino-Roble”, which consist of a pine tree born inside a centenary oak, which is considered a symbol of the village. http://dlvr.it/RqhJsV

Much more than a simple extension, Charred House has been completely reconfigured and renovated at ground floor level, delivering changes that make a huge difference to the quality and enjoyment of life in the house. Internal spaces are now linked in a way that better suits modern living, and benefit from a strong connection to the rear garden, through an oriel window and glazed pivot door. Material choices are warm and tactile to create a relaxed and comfortable ambience. Externally, the extension is carefully composed so that the two-storey element follows the natural rhythm of the terrace, with stock brickwork referencing existing materials, charred timber offering a welcome counterpoint, and gold flashings adding a touch of personality. http://dlvr.it/Rqdnxm
